Fall at Vecchie Terre di Montefili

10 November 2018

Fall at Vecchie Terre di Montefili can only mean one thing- collecting olives and pressing grapes!

It has been a busy week for us in the winery! Under a piercing blue sky, our Panzano hilltop is adorned with a crown of gold, burnt orange, mustard yellow.

The glorious palate of our nature has inspired us this week, as we took to the groves to finally pick our ripe olives ready to be pressed for our Vecchie Terre di Montefili Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Our Olive Oil is a source of pride, representing the end of the agricultural season. Made in very small quantities, it is a rare taste of another product that represents the diversity and beauty of the Chianti Classico zone.

The work didn’t stop there, however! Over in the cantina, our team have been working hard to press our Sangiovese grapes after their long maceration.
The weather was ideal this season, the colors vivid and tantalizing, and we are already dreaming of the grand future of these noble little grapes.
