Chianti Classico

A Jewel of Tuscany

Chianti Classico wines are celebrated for their rich heritage and exceptional quality. Crafted from Sangiovese grapes, our wines boast a vibrant ruby hue and an aromatic profile that harmonises red cherries, violets, and subtle notes of earth and spice. The meticulous ageing process in oak barrels imparts a refined complexity, featuring soft tannins and a balanced acidity that elevates the tasting experience.

The exceptional nature of our Chianti Classico lies in its terroir – the unique combination of climate, soil, and topography in the Chianti region. This distinct environment allows the Sangiovese grapes to develop their full potential, resulting in wines that are both robust and elegant, with a delightful finish that lingers on the palate.

Food Pairings: Chianti Classico pairs beautifully with various dishes, making it a versatile companion at the table. It complements classic Italian cuisine such as pasta with tomato-based sauces, hearty meat dishes like “bistecca alla Fiorentina”, and aged cheeses.

Serving Suggestions: To fully appreciate its nuances, serve Chianti Classico at a temperature of 16-18°C (60-64°F), allowing the wine to breathe for about 30 minutes before serving. This practice enhances its aromatic bouquet and flavour profile, offering an exceptional and memorable wine experience.

Super Cru

Sangiovese Superior Craft

Poetry in a bottle, these noble Sangioveses capture the essence of their diverse terroirs. Grown in three distinct vineyards, each with unique soils, altitudes, and exposures, this wine range embodies a structured journey of complexity and diversity.

The meticulous care in preserving the purity and history of these vines is evident in every sip. Experience the superior craft of Sangiovese, where every element tells a story of the land.

Food Pairings: Ideal with grilled or roasted meats, including famous Chianti’s boar meat, and rich pasta dishes, or again aged cheeses.

Serving Suggestions: Our Super Crus are best enjoyed at 18°C (64°F) to fully appreciate their bouquet and flavours. Allow to decant for 1-2 hours to enhance depth and full-bodied character.

SuperTuscan

A Winemaking Revolution

Super Tuscan wines represent a revolutionary chapter in the annals of Italian winemaking. Emerging in the 1970s as a bold deviation from traditional Italian wine regulations, these wines blend native Sangiovese with international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. The result is a collection of wines that exhibit remarkable depth, complexity, and global appeal.
What sets our Super Tuscans apart is the extraordinary craftsmanship and the freedom to explore beyond the confines of DOC and DOCG regulations. This liberty allows our winemaker Serena Gusmeri to experiment with grape varieties and winemaking techniques, leading to wines that are rich, full-bodied, and strikingly unique. The meticulous selection of grapes and extended ageing in new French oak barrels imbue these wines with robust tannins, intricate layers of flavour, and an impressive structure.

Food Pairings: Super Tuscans are best enjoyed with equally bold and flavorful dishes. They pair exquisitely with grilled or roasted meats, such as lamb, boar or beef, rich pasta dishes featuring truffles or wild mushrooms, and mature cheeses.

Serving Suggestions: For optimal enjoyment, serve these wines at a temperature of 18-20°C (64-68°F), and decant them for at least an hour before serving. This allows the wine to open up, revealing its complex bouquet and the symphony of flavours that make Super Tuscan a celebrated treasure in the world of fine wine.
