Not even the pandemic could hold back Tony Wood from his dedication to reviewing the Chianti Classico Collection, and we are delighted to share some excellent reviews for our new vintages!
Bruno di Rocca IGT 2016
Dark ruby red in colour. Ripe black fruits of blackberry, blueberry and plum mingle with liquorice, leather, smoke, spice and damp forest floor. The result is an expressive, rounded, rich, deep texture. Thanks to the Cabernet Sauvignon grape quality a greater level of sophistication will, in time, enhance this wine even further.

Chianti Classico DOCG 2018
Dark ruby red in colour. Totally different from the 2017 vintage. Such weight in the glass. Blackberry, baked plum, liquorice, dark cherry, blood orange, powdered cinnamon, dry leather and menthol notes. Solid fruit core framed with fresh juicy acidity and ultra fine tannins. Beguiling. Tangy resonance on the back end. Finish just goes on and on. Wow!

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2017
Pale ruby red in colour. Fresh red fruits, orange peel, scented spice, liquorice, sage and camphor. A little slow out of the blocks. Shows poise but lacks inner profile.

Vecchie Terre di Montefili Anfiteatro IGT 2016
Intense ruby red in colour. So much pumping through the veins of this wine: blackberry, blackcurrant, blood orange, an array of spice notes, mocha and eucalyptus. Fresh as the morning dew. Balanced like gold scales. Outstanding.
